IT services, performance and high load

GEO for IT companies and specialized engineering services

I help technical service providers appear in AI recommendations for genuine client problems, not only when users already know the brand.

Enterprise buyers describe an operational problem before they name a vendor. They ask who can diagnose a slow storefront, handle peak traffic or audit a stack their own developers manage. AI recommendations depend on how clearly a company can be connected to that specific need and to verifiable experience.

Commercial questions behind technical vendor selection

A useful prompt set separates a general shortlist from concrete work: accelerating a 1C-Bitrix store, diagnosing outages during promotions, identifying a code or database bottleneck, or providing an independent audit to an in-house team.

  • Who specializes in speeding up online stores built with 1C-Bitrix?
  • Who can test the stability of a website during major sales?
  • Who can audit performance and advise our existing developers?
  • Which team can distinguish a code problem from a database, server or hosting problem?

The proof needed for each answer differs. A load-testing case is not interchangeable with a PageSpeed screenshot; a diagnostic audit is not the same service as a full implementation.

Being understood is different from being recommended

A well-written service page may help an AI model explain what a company does when asked by name. Generic recommendation prompts are harder: the model may use reviews, industry articles, technical publications and shortlists of other vendors.

I therefore separate 2 measurements: the company being named in the answer, and its website appearing among cited sources. A cited URL alone is not a recommendation.

Practical observation: MethodLab

My research for MethodLab tracked 6 non-branded needs, including store acceleration, independent audits, 1C-Bitrix and performance under peak load. Early responses could describe the company's technical work correctly, yet missed it on important vendor-selection questions.

6 × 7Identical prompts and AI interfaces in the comparison.
8/42Responses mentioning MethodLab on September 14, 2026.
22/42Responses mentioning MethodLab on October 13, 2026.

These figures were checked against the saved answers. BMR rose from 19.0% to 52.4% within that fixed test set. This does not prove that any one publication or site change caused the entire improvement.

My working approach

  1. Fix the commercial prompt matrix before measuring results.
  2. Review service pages, technical cases, authorship and internal links.
  3. Identify the external publications and profiles that support real competencies.
  4. Repeat measurements using the same prompts and interfaces, and assess recommendation quality.

Technical SEO and structured data remain useful where there is an actual implementation gap. Schema markup alone cannot guarantee a recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

Does an IT company need GEO if SEO is already in place?
Yes, when the goal is to measure recommendations in AI answers. SEO provides useful technical signals, while GEO adds fixed prompts, response analysis, competitor context and cited sources.
Which pages matter most for website performance services?
It depends on which buying questions are underserved. Specialized service pages, detailed engineering cases and evidence of relevant platform experience are common priorities.
Can BMR be compared across different prompt sets?
A directly comparable BMR uses the same prompts and AI interfaces. New topics should be tracked as a separate series rather than silently changing the original baseline.
Is Schema.org enough to win AI recommendations?
No. Structured data can connect services, experts and cases, but supporting content and credible sources are also needed.
