According to a
VCIOM study conducted in March 2026,
65% of online shoppers in Russia had at least occasionally relied on recommendations from services, applications and online assistants when choosing products or services.
At the same time,
59% were willing to use AI to help shortlist options while keeping the final purchasing decision for themselves.
AI is already influencing purchasing decisions at scale. It helps users build a shortlist, compare alternatives and narrow their choice even when the final purchase is made elsewhere.
According to
Semrush, the average visitor coming from AI search converts
4.4 times better than a visitor from traditional organic search.
In some cases the difference is even larger.
Seer Interactive reported a
15.9% conversion rate from ChatGPT compared with
1.76% from Google Organic, approximately
9 times higher.
